Discount Variety Retail Chain MR. D.I.Y. Thailand (owned by Malaysia based PE firm Creador) sends love and care to disabled cats and dogs by donating funds and essential items with a total value of 30,000 baht (€1,000) to Home for Handicapped Animals Foundation (under the patronage of Luangta Maha Bua Yannasampanno) to help abandoned disabled animals that needed to be taken care closely.
Mrs. Kanung Deepa, Vice President of Home for Handicapped Animals Foundation receives the donation at Home for Handicapped Animals Foundation, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. The activity is part of MR. D.I.Y. Cares to help improve better community and society.
Mr. Arnupharp Kongmalai, Head of Marketing Department of MR. D.I.Y. Thailand said “MR. D.I.Y. is aiming to develop society in all dimensions. Today, we come to visit and help disabled animals by supporting funds as well as donating MR. D.I.Y. products which include pet foods, cat litter, dog shampoo, pet pads, bin bags, cat litter scoops, dog pampers, and collars for dogs and cats as part of helping the foundation to take care of all the disabled animals. Stray animals with disabilities are a problem that Thai society is now facing because these animals tend to easily get injured and disabled from living outside along the street. Moreover, the number of abandoned animals continues to increase constantly during the pandemic period. Currently, the Home for Handicapped Animals Foundation has more than 500 handicapped animals under supervision. MR. D.I.Y. has recognized the importance of this matter, therefore, we organize this activity to pass on our support to the staff at the foundation as well as to support the foundation’s work for the animals. We also visit the animals and have discussions on the foundation's history and the treatment to take care of disabled animals in order to provide more specific support to the foundation in the future.”
