Discount Retail Chain Aldi in Spain plans to maintain and take advantage of the proximity sales boom during the COVID-19 confinement to enhance its presence in urban centers. For this reason, Aldi Nord announced it will open more than 20 stores for 2020 in Spain. About 60% of the new Aldi stores will be located in centers such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia. In fact, Aldi Spain has, since the start in 2002, 309 in Spain.
