Discount Variety Retail Chain Dealz (owned by Pepco Group) opened its first warehouse in Łyszkowice (Łowicz district). It was necessary because by the end of 2023. Dealz wants to double the number of stores in Poland.
The warehouse of 47,000 sqm. in Łyszkowice is already stocked and supports Dealz stores from all over the country. The investment is to allow the implementation of development plans of the network, which wants to double the number of stores by the end of 2023.
The dynamic development of the network requires flexibility and efficient logistics. The new distribution centre fits perfectly into our needs also due to its geographical location, strategic from the transport and cost point of view. Thanks to it, we will be able to ensure uninterrupted availability of products that customers are so eager to reach for comments Marcin Langowski, CEO at Dealz Poland. The location of the warehouse allows you to handle delivery processes to Dealz stores within 36 hours from the moment of placing the order (by the store).
The leased DC is prepared for three-shift work with a potential of employment for 600 people. It uses a number of modern technological solutions, including forklifts with lithium-ion batteries with fast electric charging and a photovoltaic installation.
Changes are coming The opening of the warehouse is one element of a wider process of change at Dealz. In the coming months, the chain plans to introduce a modernization program in Poland, including the optimization of the assortment and store space as well as the implementation of new technological solutions. The chain is also working on optimizing the supply chain, which will allow for even more efficient service of existing and new stores.
The first Dealz store in Poland was opened in February 2018 in Swarzędz. Currently, there are 170 of them. They offer an assortment of more than 3,000 products of different brands. In stores and headquarters in Poland, the chain employs almost 2000 people.
The entire Pepco Group, to which Dealz belongs, has about 4,000 stores located in 19 countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and the region of Central and Eastern Europe, and employs approx. 43,000 people.
