Poland: Biedronka is taking its first step into the world of gaming

Discount Retail Chain Biedronka, Poland's leading discounter is expanding its marketing efforts and launching a "Biedronka simulator" on the Roblox platform. This is the first initiative in the history of the chain that is entirely based on the virtual world. In the game, children can play the role of both Biedronka employees and its customers.


What are the secrets of working at Biedronka, what is customer service and how to shop quickly and wisely? You can learn all this from the educational game posted on the Roblox platform. An additional attraction for players will be the ability to collect codes for stickers entitling them to collect stuffed animals from the Gang of Producers.


Smart shopping from kindergarten

"With the launch of the world in the Roblox game, we focus on innovative solutions that engage a younger audience. Thus, we open up new opportunities and operate in line with current trends in marketing," says Ewa Wróblewska-Kubiak, Senior Marketing Manager at Biedronka.


"Our game in Roblox is not only entertaining. It is nothing more than learning through play. We believe that it will make it easier for the youngest to acquire important skills, such as smart shopping or creating a shopping list," she emphasizes.


Two roles to choose from

The creators of the game tried to reproduce the Biedronka stores as faithfully as possible. In an interactive world, players can take on the role of an employee or a customer as they discover the ins and outs of retail. As employees, they will take care of the delivery of fresh products from the warehouse, the putting of goods on the shelf and cleanliness. They will serve customers at the checkout, as well as provide information in the store. They will also have the opportunity to bake bread. As customers, they will be able to complete shopping lists.


Biedronka combines the virtual and real worlds

Regardless of the role chosen, players have the opportunity to collect virtual mascots from the Gang of Producers. Their set gives you a chance to receive a code for a sticker entitling you to pick up the stuffed animal in the real world. The guide through the virtual store space is the chain's shopping application (Moja Biedronka), which shows tutorials and explains the rules of the game.
